Desperate for full time work

You literally just made the very point that everyone is trashing in this thread. It sucks your friend got an advanced degree and couldn’t find employment as a music teacher, but in order to keep health benefits she continued working in a fast food restaurant because it provided the health benefits she needed while (I assume) she continued job hunting for the career she actually wanted.

Multiple people here have referred to fast food jobs such as Starbucks or McDonalds as either “scrub jobs” or positions at Trader Joe’s as “beneath them.” I understand this individual can’t work at certain places due to a physical disability but my God I have no idea why everyone would suggest remaining unemployed without health benefits in order to feel superior to someone like your friend.
