Russia deploys Iskander missiles to Kaliningrad

Well, the construction of the European missile defense system in Poland and Romania is still progressing towards the completion of the last two out of four phases, even though a deal with Iran in regards to their nuclear proliferation has been already accomplished. If you add the hypocritical comments of some Congressmen to that, it is no wonder Russia isn't convinced the shield is not or will not be used for anything other than Iran missiles.

Now, Trump wishes he could dissolve that agreement, and at the same time the relations with Russia aren't improving at all. As such it comes to no surprise they've broke the treaty and started deploying missiles in Kaliningrad - especially when this year phase three will supposedly finalized.

If NATO wants to get out of that worsening catch-22 with Russia, the deployment of that missile system has to be halted, and the forces at the border reduced. Instead, instances of Russia's provocations ought to be more strictly punished, for instance, their unauthorized military flights over NATO territory., and talks in pursuit of a proper solution regarding Ukraine need to be restarted.

Unfortunately, Trump follows some pretty nationalistic, right-wing views with no understanding or care about international relations, and considering the matter with Jerusalem, the situation mostly depends on what path Putin wishes to continue to walk.
