This Scene Break My Heart

I thought the disco strangler plot could have been saved for a separate episode, while this episode's subplot would essentially be a gender debate sparked by discussing the main plot. Things get more heated when, after Rosa's talk with Amy, she pulls Jake aside and tells him he's being disrespectful, only for three men to try and "save" him with Rosa being backed by two women and Terry, who's a feminist. The confrontation divides the floor into two genders, with the break room being a neutral zone.

Both teams resort to childish name-calling and stereotype-baiting to one up the opposition. During this, Terry defects to the men when Sharon takes their kids for a girl's only weekend, leaving him at home on his own, while Holt gives up his office to join the women, after Kevin makes a distasteful remark.

The plotline slowly becomes more focused on Scully, who cannot find a safe place to eat out of fear he'll get chastised by both sides for showing typical male behaviour, and he's kicked out of the break room so Jake and Amy can talk. After said conversation, Scully teams up with a female co-worker who also agrees that this has gotten out of hand, and together, they come up with a plan to end this - an equality speech given by the most vile person man on Earth - Hitchcock.

The plan works, everyone is so disgusted, they return to their normal places as if nothing ever happened. When Jake and Amy arrive, they are relieved.
