Sea level rise is a huge red herring. Far more important are the acidification of the ocean, plastic in the ocean, overfishing, deforestation, etc., etc.

Buildings move faster than the projected sea level rise. A typical building will need major repair within 30-50 years anyway. Old buildings are routinely demolished. As sea levels gradually rise, there will be plenty of time to invest in real estate on slightly higher ground. This is how it’s always been, since the end of the last ice age. When invoking geological timescales in global warming discussions, one must also consider the timescale in which cities pulsate and move like slime mold.
