Secretary of State Rex Tillerson largely disappears in the Trump Cabinet

Interesting theories. Trump certainly seems to keep Tillerson at arm's-length and out of the loop, to a degree that it seems deliberate and suggests he doesn't trust him or value his opinion. Trump is that way with most people though, so it's hard to know if that says anything about Tillerson's knowledge of a possible conspiracy.

Tillerson was a curious pick, as you've said. He wasn't Trump's original pick for SoS, but maybe he was always the real first choice and the rest was for show? He seems like a too-perfect fit for an administration that wants to lift Russian-oil-sanctions, so I can see why he'd seem like bait for them, maybe prompted by a Republican congressmen or two who were in the know.

At the same time seems so uninvolved and distrusted by Trump that he may not be a co-conspirator, even as a mole, maybe just a patsy selected by the conspirators because of his evident usefulness towards their goals.

Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see how he fits into all this as it unfolds...
