Hi all, I've been a long time lurker on this sub and reddit. lol. Anyway, I've always loved watches and everything about them. I think they add some subtle style and are functional in their ability to tell the time. This past winter I went to Japan with some friends for vacation. Spent a good amount of time looking for my first automatic watch. Tried on many seiko's, casio's and orient's. I tried on the alpinist, cocktail time, sumo and sarb033 and 035. I really liked them all, but felt a little was missing. A little panache. I did buy a g shock as an everyday watch and am really enjoying it. Nothing to complain about it! Came home and was still lusting for an automatic. Did some online surfing and found the limited edition sumo. I fell in love with the look and set my sights on it. I signed up for the email notification for it on seiya japan and knocked on wood. A couple weeks went by and the email came. Hopped on the site and purchased it as soon as I could! Checked a few hours later and they were already sold out! Here it is 4 days later, and I couldn't be happier. The dial is unreal and pictures can't capture it. It has some nice heft and the finishing is superb. I can't wait to get it on wrist but still have to get the bracelet sized. Will do that soon, but the g shock will do for now. It looks big on my 6.5" wrists but it does fit! There is no lug overhang and hopefully my wrists get a little bigger from the gym. Hope everyone enjoys the post!
