A senior Russian diplomat says far more than 800 Russians are fighting alongside ISIS.

He's also the one who started this.

True.

Before there were radical foreign Islamists there were oridinary citizens and he mowed them do. Just like his dad did in the 80s. He's a psychopath

True.

You can argue he's preferable to ISIS, but the man is not a saviour.

half true. He is the only one who can save Syria, not the Americans, not NATO not the FSA can pull Syria back together, bashar and bashar alone is one only one who can do it.

Bashar needs to win this war, it's in Syrias best interest that he does.

If Bashar wins the country will be made stable then either one of two things will happen.

  1. Things will change after 3 years of civil war, he'll realise he can't act how ever he wants and reform will be brought in.

  2. He cracks down on even more freedoms and oppresses people even more.

If No.1 Happens, great good for Syria.

If No. 2 Happens then a conventional war can be waged against Syria by middle eastern armies (any christian nations will be seen as invaders and not liberators) and Bashar can be removed and elections held for the new president.

Bashar can use tactics that the west simply can't, he's also done a good job of keeping Syria a relatively safe place (in terms of Islamic Terrorism) before the conflict began.

Western countries putting puppet governments into place didn't work in Afghanistan, it didnt work in Iraq, and it will not work in Syria.

The USA is sending 400 troops to Syria to train the FSA now Bashar can plead with other nations "The Americans are illegally trying to remove me from power, help I am under attack"

Airstrikes against ISIS were supposed to be the limit of the wests intervention and now its sticking its nose in even more.

Syria has to be left alone (In terms of its civil war) to fix itself. The shit will sink to the bottom and the best will float to the top, further intrusions by the west is just stirring up the bucket and fucking things up.
