(Serious) People of Reddit, what has been the creepiest moment of your life so far?

I use to live in a very rural area. Think corn and corn for miles with nothing to do in town but go to Wal-mart pretending it's the mall or the movie theater that had space to show a whopping two movies. Anyway, as a teenager there wasn't much to do but drive around on the country roads and mess around.

So one night me and a girl were doing just that, smoking a joint in her truck parked with out lights off on the side of a dead end road. Some lights in the sky got my attention, and I pointed them out to her since it was moving really, really fast for a plane.

She has anxiety, so she kinda started freaking out thinking it was a UFO. It had regular lights on it (white, blue, red) when it was at altitude, so I wasn't really too worried.

But all of the sudden it only had the white light on, and started descending. Next thing you know there's what legitimately was a VTOL fighter in front of us that couldn't have been higher than a thousand feet. I could see what was almost like a spotlight on the front of it, or some kind of headlights for a jet. I don't know how to describe it. I say it was VTOL because it could hover, this thing wasn't zooming around like it had been a little while ago.

This thing was loud. Being a couple stoned teenagers, we obviously freaked the hell out. She started the truck and we started driving back to town. The thing didn't follow us really, just kind of hovered there as we drove off and was back to being just a shiny light in the sky moments later when it flew off.

Ended up dating that girl years later, we ended up talking about it again randomly and we both remembered it so vividly. It definitely felt creepy, there's a really large airbase about 40 miles from where we were at. What happened made absolutely no sense, it was the middle of the night.
