In my experience it wasn't scary at all, at the moment it happend that is. Looking back it is kinda creepy..

I used to be the biggest pussy ever when I was young, always sleeping with the lights on, and if I would wake up in the middle of the night I would run to my moms room, teddybear in hand.

I had this little closet-ish thing in the corner of my room and on top of that was a lamp, wich was ofcourse ALWAYS on. Anyway, 2 days after my grandma died she came in my room and turned my light off.

I remember it as clear as day, I woke up in the middle of the night but instead that I felt scared and ran to my mothers room I felt really really calm. That whole shiver shit what they say when there is a ghost is true, I was shivering, it is like this otherworldly presence. BUT it wasnt cold or anything or scary or whatever. let me try to explain: You know when you get the shivers when looking at the people you love or something you acomplished and you are like "fuck yeah!"? Its like that. It felt so safe, so loved.. Yet so strange. My door opened - And she walks in, my grandma.

She was as beuatiful as before the cancer ruined her. She was as solid as a humanbeing. I cant explain how relaxed I felt. It was almost like a moment of truth? I cant explain it really..

She just walkes up to my little closet-ish thing in the corner, looks me straight in the eye, gives me her loving smile as she moves her hand to switch the light off. I smiled back. she turned the light off, I turned around and slept like a baby.

Bliss.
