(Serious) People who knew murders before they killed someone, what are some red flags you didn’t notice at the time?

  1. My girlfriend was on a team in high school with some other kid's girlfriend. He used to come watch the games and we'd often be the only guys. He just seemed off, nothing big, but weird and fixated on his girlfriend, and the other girls picked up on it, and joked about him being a serial killer.

Went off to college and my now ex-girlfriend called one day and said he killed his or her parents and they ran off together. And probably got caught within 10 minutes. It sounded like if Badlands were a short. I should look this all up because it seems too shaky to be true.

  1. Supposedly it came out that my (deceased) uncle killed a guy. I think to settle a gambling debt. Super fun and charming guy, but a bit violent apparently and a terrible gambler.

  2. Someone in my wife's family has killed in the double digits, but he's a soldier so I don't think that counts.

  3. I knew someone had worked for gangsters in Russia and he said he spent the 90s 'beating and shooting.' He was terrifying and was what you imagine when you think of a killer. Imagine if Mirko Cro-cop were given the job of Furio from The Sopranos. He never said anything about killing, but I imagine not everyone survived the beating and shooting.
