[Serious]Redditors who were kidnapped/held hostage/or missing for a long period of time, what happened and how are you now?

Wasn't kidnapped but dated a girl who had been. I met her (in USA) just before she left to study abroad in Denmark.

I saw her in this club where she was working as a 'bar maid' as she liked to call it. I was smitten by her long hair, long legs and huge smile. One night while partying with friends we took acid at the club and later that night I couldn't get her out of my head so I spent hours writing this long letter declaring my admiration for her.

So anyway, we wrote back and forth while she was in Denmark and grew passionate towards each other. Going to cut A LOT out of this and cut to when she returned and things finally got physical.

She was wild. She once told me that she loved to give head so much that anytime I ever wanted it I could basically just tap her on the shoulder and let her know and she was down. I took advantage of that but look, there is a lot of time between all that stuff where you get to know someone.

She told me she had been abducted by some stranger in [redacted] who held her hostage and had put her in the trunk of his car. I forget all the details but the more I got to know her the more I picked up on serious deep emotional issues.

She fancied herself the singer songwriter type and listened to Ani Defranco and the like. Things got weird and it ended weird. The whole thing was weird actually.

In the end she ended up becoming a roller derby girl and now I think she sells real estate.

I bumped into once totally randomly in DFW airport on my way to CA. The chances of that were really pretty rare so as I smiled and stopped walking and said "Hi. [redacted]!" she just said hey all weird like and kept on walking all spacey.

tldr; dated girl who had been kidnapped, was weird, now a roller girl.
