[Serious]What is the creepiest thing that has ever happened to you?

So I had this security job through a family friend who self started the business. The only thing was, I had nothing supplied to me but the shirt. We didn't have a gun, mace or baton like some companies do. No problem for me, I don't mind. It's strictly an observe and report job, and I mostly worked during the days anyways. Here's the thing(s). We were stationed out at an orchard that was having heavy levy work done. It's the day after Thanksgiving, and the work crew were given the day before Thanksgiving and the day following off. I'm sitting there in my car, by my lonesome, with a flashlight at around 2:30 a.m. waiting til I get off at 6. I have my windows rolled up to keep the bugs out and I'm browsing reddit when I hear a beeping. A familiar beeping. I crack my window and listen and realize it's an alarm clock going off. The pucker factor sets in, and I sit there in the dark listening. I timed it, so I could write in my report, it went off for two minutes and thirty three seconds before abruptly cutting out mid beep. I turn on my headlights, give the car a throaty start, and begin to drive up to where I think it's coming from, up over the levy a small distance. There's a small portable, where the construction guys keep gear and I decided to Scooby-Doo it and look around with my big bad flashlight. I get out and lock my car behind me and look around. Sure enough I find a small white alarm clock grimy with dirt. It instantly dawned on me that maybe I wasn't there alone. I swept the trees, but if you know orchards, they're thick. Easy to hide in said my mind. I quickly got back in my car and parked on the highest longest stretch of levy the rest of my shift. TLDR: I was alarmed.

Sure acquiredgore. That's easy. The construction crew set ya up ya big goof. Yeah, I thought of that. But why after I had been there 2 months? Why didn't I hear it the day before Thanksgiving? It's those two questions that bounce around for me.
