Seriously. Seriously! SERIOUSLY!

Seriously. I have 23 days and a wake up until I leave for the summer. Part of the deal when they let me move back in was that I pretty much had to give up the concept of personal space. This has resulted in me not spending time at home whenever I can avoid it. I ride to work with one of them (more often than not it’s my mother) so I can get to work, access the WiFi and comparative quiet of the coffee shop and get to school when I have an exam (classes are virtual, but most exams are in person, weird). I normally don’t get home until after dark because I usually have to walk (8 miles).

On the weekends, if I have a shift, unless I get a ride from a friend heading that direction, I have to walk because my parents don’t work weekends. I leave my laptop there because I don’t really see the need to lug an extra 11 pounds the 8 mile trek to the grocery store. During a “raid” of my room, my mom found it and had it sitting on the dining room table when I got home grilling me about how much it cost, where I got the money for it. When I told her how much I paid for it, she basically implied that if I can afford a laptop that expensive I could have just bought a cheaper one and use the savings to get my own apartment.

  1. You can’t get a lease around here for the 38 days I need to just have a warm, dry place to sleep; believe me, I looked.

  2. I could have bought a cheaper one, like the craptastic laptops she buys from Wal-Mart every year because they become obsolete so fast.

  3. Implying that I’m doing something illegal to pay for nicer shit is tantamount to admitting that you didn’t raise me right (which you didn’t, btw); but that manifested itself in an inability to set boundaries and self-discipline, not in criminal behavior.

WTAF. IDK anymore with these people.
