Should I enlist or stay in school?

Wherever there is flying going on, there are fire fighters near the runway. There should be plenty of air bases in all branches and National Guard that you could contact. I don´t see why you shouldn´t serve, even if it´s "just because". Marketable skills and focus etc. are not everything. Maybe you just need to get out in the real world and get some experiences under your belt, all for yourself. If your family is doing well, you will have their support and a GI bill afterwards, and still be in your early to mid 20s. That´s a great age to choose and focus on your long term career imho. Don´t worry too much, if you feel like you want to do this, then do. You have the absolute best age for doing "just because" things, believe me every 30-something will tell you that it just gets harder and harder the longer you postpone these.
