Should i tell my job i have autism?

I was about to say, in Germany you would be protected to some extent, but you are required to be open about it from the very start.

There also e.g. are quotas to hire "disabled" people so some companies I guess are more than happy to hire a high functioning autist that can get the job done and maybe needs less accommodation than e.g. someone in a wheelchair that would require potential extra costs for ramps etc or simply cannot hire someone in a wheelchair in the first place because the office in the 2nd floor and the building has no elevator.

I personally would say: "go ahead", but it's really hard to tell without knowing the field you are working in, how open the company is, what the laws are in your area, etc.

Is there maybe a website you could link to that maybe is build as resource for employers in particular? Where they can get a brief, but good overview over what ASD/ Aspergers is, explained in easy words so people can get an idea if they never heard about or bothered with it before?
