I apologize if this is diverting from the intended topic, just wanted to add something to your statement.

Saying Gochiusa isn't funny at all and people only watch it for the cute girls is like saying to Gundam fans that their anime has no story to it whatsoever and people only enjoy it for it's bloody mecha. It's not just mindless cute girls doing cute things. If it were that easy other shows like A-Channel and Lucky Star would have made it to the top as well wouldn't it?

Watching shows like Lucky Star, despite with all the cutesy big eyed characters, wasn't much of an enjoyable experience on my part. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I've found their humour and jokes to be dull and sort of hard to get, which made the show felt long and dragging. In my defense, Gochiusa was more than that. As I said before, it isn't just cute girls doing cute things. Comedy wise and atmosphere, Gochiusa somehow pulled it off smoothly without the need to force it's joke to the audience for them to get it. The comedy was added in a subtle way at the right time going with an easy light hearted flow. It didn't felt boring to watch, and was pulled off in such a way that it differentiates itself from others of its kind out there. But then again, this is merely my opinion.

I understand if you couldn't care any less. If you don't like it, then that's fine, I won't argue. Everyone has different tastes after all. All I'm saying is don't discredit the show for what it really is. It's not always about the cute moe factor that matters for a moe SoL anime to be a success. A top 10 of the genre exists, and there's a reason Gochiusa is one of them while many other "moeblobs" has failed to do so. Which is kind of impressive as Gochiusa is a very recent work.

Sorry for the unnecessary rant, just felt like I should say something. Well, if I were honest with myself, I'd say I was just doing this as an excuse to get away from my college assignments which is due in 2 days, haha.
