it shouldn't be seen as disrespectful to wear a hat indoors

I don't agree with wearing hats at school or in professional work settings, but I agree with much of this. I especially disagree for wearing them at work since it's highly likely that the hat doesn't match the company's brand, policies, etc.

Other than that, I never understood why hats indoors are controversial, and I tend to dress preppy. Sometimes, a sleek golf cap or whatever is what I want to wear, so I go ahead and do it.

Also, I'm surprised by the number of people who said that you should just take care of your hair or whatever, that's pretty presumptuous of them lol. Mostly like you, I shower every day, take care of my hair each day, etc., so just because people wear hats sometimes doesn't mean they don't care. Like you, it's just nice to wear it on your head sometimes
