Sister got murdered by ex. Justice system is fucking useless.

I feel you. I was very physically ill, and my husband was physically violent. I would hide and call the police, they would come, he would rush to great them outside (control the situation) and tell them I was mentally ill. They would then proceed to harass me, even physically using their body to push me down on a bed. They never even asked if I had any mental health issues. They told me things like "your husband has a right to threat to kill you", the female detective said, then chuckled, then continued "next time wait until he has a gun or knife in his hand and is coming towards you before calling us again", then chuckled again. And this was all in front of about 6 other officers. I was able to physically leave, and he then found me, assaulted me multiple times, and he called the police and told them I assaulted him. I was arrested, taken out in handcuffs in front of my neighbors, my arrested was printed in the local newspaper in print and online. All because I told them he assaulted me, and was blocking me from escaping by pinning me in a hallway. I pushed past him to get away, and thats why they said I was abusive and arrested me. He used that opportunity to get into my vehicle and go through my purse (which the cops made me leave in my vehicle despite him having keys), filed for a protection order, got possession of my home for a year for free. Im finally divorced, but left the state to escape. I will never ever trust cops or prosecutors or judges again. Never again. They really really didnt care. And I live in the USA in a very wealthy area thats very conservative. I dont even have parking tickets or any other complaints out there. So, I completely understand what you mean. He would shut the door behind the cops after they would debase me and leave, and say, "See, no one is going to help you. You belong to me" and smile. Fuck those fuckers.
