Snowden says he'd like to return to Geneva. Edward Snowden has made a public appeal for Switzerland to grant him asylum, saying he would like to return to live in Geneva, where he once worked undercover for the Central Intelligence Agency.

dude looks like he survives on a steady diet of pizza pockets. None of this was worth it in the end.

All this did was tell the new younger liberal generation, the reddit users, the bloggers etc. the type of people who are into politics because it's sexy, it told them something they would have found out if they just grew up a bit more, or payed attention a bit more. Everybody was aware that governments had easy access to peoples Data, this is something the majority of people in the world assume from the get go, especially in the west. It was literally nothing new. Spying on "friends" is nothing new, this is something you would have known if you payed attention in class.

Snowden is a classic example of one of these new age naively idealistic liberals. They consistently shoot their load way too early and jump right out the window at the wrong time which actually ends up doing more damage and re-enforcing whatever they were trying to destroy.

If he truly felt things needed to be changed, he should have shut his mouth and did his job. Maybe.......just maybe.......in 20 or 30 years, when he's an old man he would have worked himself into a position where he was making policy at these places, then he could have changed things. This is how these important things get changed.

He also had no regard for his home country, innocent people who may or may not agree with him personally, or sensitive government information. He obviously was thinking "this is so important it doesn't matter" which is dangerous and immature of him.

Personally i think he got caught in the moment, was probably sitting around all the time watching documentaries online, bombarding his brain with conspiracies about how evil the US government is, probably bought right into the OWS/Anti police/anti government fad that started popping up after everybody realized Obama wasn't going to live up to his end of the bargain.
