Let's have a party of test subject of men and woman. Let's have each gender walk through a dark alley alone at 10 pm. Lets see how many woman are either taunted, threatened, cat called, followed, thrown gross remarks at.

Now lets have a bunch of men walk alone through an alley at night and observe how many of them are even looked at, noticed or engaged at.

You see the perspective here is that the females in this scenario are more vulnerable to feeling scared and harassed

And in your scenario it is not the male is not taken seriously when he is being assaulted by a woman.

Yeah it sucks the reality of it... but it fucking exists. I am not saying either scenario is right or that is how it should be. But it fucking is.
