I had quite a few people say he is not a nice person and I could do better, I was plenty warned. I should've known when he knocked over a stack of papers and kept walking without picking them up, when he walked out of a funeral early to grab lunch, when we were at a competition he told me to take the L in my event just to come and help him out with his and I freaking did help him out (got real lucky and didn't take an L in mine). I fell HARD. I thought I could change him a little, and that we'd balance each other because mean+nice =cute UwU. It only took a solid 3 years for the rose-colored glasses to come off. I am ashamed to have idolized him.
