about 5 years ago myself and my two housemates went to a party which was out in the sticks down a very long windy dirt road (like 40 mins down a dirt road off the main road). It was the kind of party that reeeally benefits from being in a very remote location if you catch my drift, so when we left I was definitely just grasping this reality (I wasn't driving) as it was so what happened next really fucked with my head.

Like I said this was a 40 minute drive down windy dirt backroad just to get back to the highway. It's 3am, Petrol starts getting low-ish and we are a little concerned. For some reason I smoke a joint and i'm smashed (even more so).

We eventually come to a T intersection in the road and we have to choose left or right. None of us remember this being here on the way to the party but there was no other way we could have gone so whatever. There was no signs except for a sign saying 'Lemons 50m' (as in a farmer selling lemons). We decided to go right as it seemed like the correct way towards the highway.

We drive for another 30 mins down dirt winding roads and are completely disoriented. We realise we have absolutely no sense of direction and can only hope that the highway is around the next corner. Petrol is low. We are actually starting to stress out as we've gone too far to go back and we haven't seen a house in ages.

Then, we come around a corner and we see a T intersection...and a sign saying 'Lemons 50m' It was the same motherfucking intersection we were at half an hour ago..

My brain flipped the fuck out as we never turned off the road at all and it was like glitch in the matrix bullshit. We sat there arguing and laughing and freaking out about how the fuck this was possible. Eventually We decided to go left and found the highway in about 5 minutes.

I still think back sometimes and wonder how that happened.
