[Spoilers inside] KIA, what are the top 5 games, that triggered an emotional response in you? And why?

1. Anything by Christine Love While I realize she isn't exactly popular around here based on her views of GamerGate, I will admit that the endings of the games she's made have been the most thought provoking and emotional experiences I've ever had in gaming. Analogue's ending was poignant enough that I had to take a break from the computer for a lot of the remainder of the afternoon that I beat it. 2. Infamous 2 While I had no problems playing through the game being a murderous psychopath, killing all who stood in my way, the ending really stood out to me based on the fact that both were in their own way depressing. My favorite character was alienated in the bad ending and ended up killed as a result, and both you and her died in the good ending anyways, so both were sad in their own way. 3. Spec Ops: The Line It's hard to describe exactly why the ending of this game was so poignant, but I'm sure anyone else that has beaten it will know what I mean when I say that it opened my eyes and profoundly changed the way I thought about the events that had occurred throughout the game. 4. Bastion The strength of the emotional connection formed with The Kid caught me off guard, especially since he never says and thing and all of his characterization comes from Ruckus. I found The Kid's backstory much more compelling than I expected, seeking to find out as much as I could. 5. Dota 2 While the game itself didn't directly create an emotional response, the sheer anger and irritation that can form when a teammate is absolutely incompetent is unlike any other game I've ever played. Runners Up: Transistor - I guarantee it would've been on this list, but I haven't had the time to play it yet. Hotline Miami - A very deep and psychological story, despite what it may seem at first glance Metro: 2033 - The feelings created by the bad ending when you know the good ending exists, and that you could have prevented the massacre. Portal 1/2 - Strong emotional connection to a character you never hear and rarely see. Dark Souls - Both how compelling the world/lore was and how satisfying it was to get past a hard part. ** Myst (all of them)** - The deep story and lore that kept me intrigued throughout.
