OK, that is it. This is the final straw. I’ve had it with all you trolls and you haters and you GOT fans. You guys are the ones that ruined GOT forever. Can’t you see that? What are you guys doing, asking for all this garbage? Why do we need these pointless character moments? Why do we need everyone to be buddy-buddy with each other? Why do we need another filler episode? Why do we need empty and meaningless dialogue? Why do we need all that? Why can’t we have a classic episode full of political intrigue and double-dealings? You guys killed the GOT franchise, all you fans and your fantasies spewed out at you by the show runners. Why can’t you guys ask for an old-school episode with weighty dialogue that actually impacts the story?
I’ll bet by now HBO has the GOT sequel movie in development with D&D minus GRRM, because you can’t ever be quenched, your fantasies can’t ever be quenched, can they? When will you learn? When will you learn that your actions have consequences? You guys keep on asking for “beautiful” character vignettes that just ruin the story’s pacing - hasn’t it already suffered enough? And it’s still suffering! D&D just can’t perfect their quippy Firefly-dialogue ripoff, can they? All because we have to have everyone interacting with everyone, we have to have all our memes brought back to life, we have to have a new shipping to obsess over, don’t we? Another shipping? I’ve had it, you guys have officially ruined everything.
Why does the GOT fanbase have to be like this? Why does the GOT fanbase have to be so numbskulled? Can’t you guys accept that we need a return to GRRM’s guidance in writing and plot development? Can’t we have a return to significant character interactions and decision-making that results in meaningful story progression? Is that so hard to ask? Why can’t we have a re-do of the Dorne subplot? Or a Dunk And Egg prequel? Or even a proper Robert’s Rebellion series? Why can’t we have that? Why do we need two filler episodes for the final season?
You guys ruined it, you ruined it with your fanfics and your Tumblr shipping. “Let’s see, oh yeah, keep all the characters alive despite bad decisions, give us more Jon and Dany playing hard to get, give us filler, that’s what GOT is all about! Right, right, D&D, right! Give us more pointless romances, yeah, we need more of those! As if Missandei and Grey Worm wasn’t enough, or Arya and Gendry, while you’re at it, why not give us more Fire Emblem C-level support conversations! We all need that! We don’t need a return to the show’s original quality, right?”
For years, I’ve watched all the episodes and thought of intriguing ways to keep the plot rich despite the overarching supernatural elements and the pending war with the dead. D&D never acknowledges the politicking of the first four seasons anymore, it makes me so mad. Why don’t those seasons get praise for their “beautiful” moments? Even Cersei gets some great dialogue then!
This makes me so mad, you GOT fans had to ruin everything with your fantasies. “Yes, give us all the ladies being sassy, keep everyone alive because we like them, give us our forced meet-ups so we can see whose fanfic came the closest, give us another two new characters to ship together, yeah, give us more orgiastic what-if’s.” You guys are already asking for more filler content. “Forget the war with the dead, give us more “beautiful” Winterfell meet-up dialogue!”
The GOT fanbase is getting me worked up, all because the show runners can’t give us something acceptable and instead caters to you. You guys are idiots. I’m tired of this, the GOT series is ruined thanks to you.
