I'm just, confused. Like how does this make sense from a writers perspective?

Why spend 6 weeks hyping up the idea of Laurels return, making your fanbase theorize who she could be. Only to send her right back where she started? Then to shit on her grave anymore, by introducing ANOTHER Black Canary?

Why not give Siren a redemption plot? I don't understand what the point of bringing her back was besides potentially setting up future plots.

But put that all aside, the episode was mediocre in itself as well. Poor editing and pacing. I liked Diggles side plot, him and Adrian have a great dynamic. Also funnily enough my favorite scene was from the flashbacks, my inner comic fan loved Talias appearance. Besides the punch i really liked Felicity this episode. Her darker tone is great and they're finally giving her a story besides Olicity.

Overall, worst episode of Season 5 so far by a pretty decent amount. Flash had a far better premiere which is the completely opposite of how it was in the first half of the season. Is the prophecy being fulfilled? Can Arrow and Flash not be at equal quality at the same time?
