I talked vaguely about my experience as well, although I deleted it because I felt that it would reflect negatively on me if this account was doxxed. I didn't talk much about the experience itself, but rather how I worked my way out of it naturally.

I would love to talk in detail about what I experienced, but I think of it like dreams - mostly only interesting to the person who dreamed it and making for abysmal conversation.

It is surprisingly common, especially for thoughtful people.

I did not know about the monks or how they handled it. I find that incredibly fascinating that it was handled like a natural occurrence.

I also believe that it is plausible that prophets were experiencing psychosis of various degrees.
