This sub talked me out of moving to the States, thank you.

I have lived and worked in Norway, Estonia and now am permanently in Denmark. Yes you get healthcare (with its own huge problems and handicaps) and the public sector is very developed and people aren't that disrespectful with public property. But, stemming from a shithole SE European country myself, I will tell you to keep your expectations low. Things are difficult, work is shit as it is everywhere because it is still work, you'll get to taste the good ole racism, xenophobia and the calvinist values. And as a foreigner in DK your residence permit will be tied to your employment or your ability to sustain yourself financially, so if you hit rock bottom you also lose the right to stay here.
