Suicide and selfishness

VERY VERY good points, thank you so much for your reply! I think you are right when it comes to fetishizing the moral implications of suicide. Ultimately, suicide is an extremely personal, complex matter.

These "definitions" of selfishness in the context of suicide, as you pointed out, may be developed almost out a resentment for being misunderstood. And the way I laid it out went that direction, so I am grateful that you pointed that out :)

I don't see a world where any action (especially suicide) doesn't end up being moralized in some way. But I wonder if there is a way to remove some of the excess fat from the "moral equation," which is why this was on my mind today.

Again, thank you so much for your reply, and for pointing out my inconsistencies :)
