Purely as an FYI, because I wholeheartedly agree, but you can’t tax the rich because the rich don’t work for money i.e. earned income which is the highest taxed of all. The rich own assets which earn money for them e.g. businesses, rental properties, stocks and bonds etc. So the passive income they earn from systems isn’t taxed the same way earned income is. To feasibly tax the rich more it would require taxing the assets and systems they own which would require a complete overhaul in legislation which,in all likelihood. will never happen as the system is set up for businesses and investors benefit to evade tax in return for keeping people employed. It’s shit I know.
