Taxes are the cost of a stable society. Taxes are good.

Taxes in general and to a degree are necessary, but the government has been in a constant state of bloat and bureaucracy for the past 100 years or more, I'm not even remotely convinced that they are currently spending tax money wisely let alone give them more.

Remember this: Most politicians are always just one tax or fee away from Nirvana, and when that fails, its just one more needed to fix the problem.

I make decent money so my taxes last year were over $70,000 just from my paycheck. Then you tack on real estate tax, gas tax, state, and local sales tax, myriad of fees tacked onto property, car registration tax, etc, and you just have to sit back and ask someone to quantify where its all going. They never can.

Taxes earmarked for one thing get put in the general fund so a pet project can be built.

And just wait till all the unfunded pensions from federal and state workers come due and they want to collect. That will be a massive tax increase.

So yeah... taxes suck and no one is accountable
