Yes, the flag is just southern pride here. While most people that like the flag are also racist as well, it’s COMPLETELY separate from the flag believe it or not. It’s just a rebellion pride thing for them. I see it EVERYWHERE when I go home. They sell it on things at our Walmart lol. It signifies the south more than being anti-Black.

when pictures come out of people from the south with the flag and everyone loses their shit and turns it into a race thing it drives me crazy. whether they are right or wrong, they truly don’t mean anything racist by it. There are SO many racist things to call them out on but the flag is kinda like mehhh. to me, it doesn’t make me automatically assume someone’s racist, it raises an eyebrow but it mainly just reassures me that they’re a small town hick douchebag
