Is a ten minute mile "good"?

I started running regularly in 2013. My average pace for those 100 miles was a paltry 11:53. I ran more in 2014, nearly double the mileage and more distance, ended up pacing 11:28 over the 197 miles. I decided to get serious about running in 2015 with loftier goals, ended up running 1176 miles at a 10:00 pace. Obviously the increased mileage and frequency (3.7 days/week, up from 0.7) had a huge benefit on my pace. Now this year, while still not over, it's easily been my fastest year yet. I've set PRs in just about every distance I've attempted (second marathon of the year is on Sunday, feel fairly confident I'll crush my 4:38 from last year) and to date I'm averaging 9:19/mile over 1390 miles.

In short, a 10 minute mile is fine. If you keep running, you'll probably get faster...or go further...or both.
