Is there an organization that works to get the Mormon ideology out of state politics?

I don't think so at all. There's a reason why Soviet Russia & Mao's China were atheistic, and Nazi Germany was essentially a religion itself. I've read anecdotal reports from people visiting Germany during the third reich, and they all said it was nearly impossible not to get caught up in it. Humans need a transcendent value system.

I'm not arguing the case for religion, especially not dogmatic religion. I'm merely saying that it's far too easy to get caught up in cults when there isn't some other transcendent value system to balance the cult or the cultish state. I think that an education in the humanities and classic literature is a perfect solution. I also think that's why an education in the humanities virtually doesn't exist anymore. It isn't accidental.

One needs to look no further than the Trump or the social justice movements. It's happening right before our eyes. They are cults by definition. Hell, you could even argue that the Republican and Democratic parties themselves have become cults, especially after the last election.
