Why is there no MMORPG for me? (rant)

I think many of us have an idea or feeling that the perfect MMO for us just doesn't exist. Possibly because a lot of us all want different things from a MMO. I know I want different things from MMORPGs than most people.

For me, the MMO that doesn't exist is a true sandbox, without the forced PvP. You can have one without the other...but game companies just don't seem to want to. I want rewards for exploration and a game with lots of rabbit holes and mystery. I want these elements to be the real game, and for things like raids and gear grinding to be the afterthought FOR ONCE.

A consensual pvp (flag if you're interested) sandbox MMO, with NO LEVEL CAPS and meaningful ways to constantly work on your character. TBH, i don't want people to catch up to me. I want my effort to mean something ,and if I put in more effort than someone else, I want that distance gap to be hard to close. I'm honestly tired of people saying "I have a family now blah blah" so don't freakin' play then. Don't ruin a whole game and expect it to be casual friendly just because YOU don't have the time to play it. I want serious crafting, I want scarcity in the world. I want resources to be in high demand and not really that common... so that when I get a hide off a monster, or find an herb... and spend the time picking it, its worthwhile and not going to be tossed in the dogpile that is the auction house where everyone is undercutting everyone else. I want a vast world that feels like I'll never see all corners of it and one that was hand crafted, not just generated by a computer for the sake of being big. I want questing that is quality, and not filler.

But... I'll never get any of that. And that's just the way it is [cue song].
