No, this 4 year old non story was dealt with 4 years ago, the only reason it became a story again is because the TMZ of comics, Rich "I'm not a journalist" Johnston was having a quite blogging day & needed to invent some news to fill his blog that pretends to be a news source.
An of course as you pointed out there is no such thing as real comic book journalism, just a whole heap of shit posting bloggers made up almost entirely of failed comic book creators with an axe to grind over their failure to succeed in the industry, they all played the copy pasta game.
Does anyone else remember how much shit we use to give Wizard Magazine for being to in bed with the comics industry? An yet by comparison it would be a beacon of shinning quality in our current era of clickbait bullshit non articles generated by malicious morons.
Wizard magazine used to have articles actually about the comics, by experts, who actually fact checked details.
They didn't have to pull a comics alliance with that same article they reprint every week: "Here's why this popular thing is problematic & if you like it you are literally Hitler."
They didn't have to pull a Bleeding Cruel with that same article they reprint every week: "Here's are 12 unsubstantiated things I made up today by combining tweets from people who heard a thing, from a person, who heard it from their hairdressers, doctors, nieces, gardners, dog walker, maybe."
They didn't have to pull a Outhouse with that same article they reprint every week: "POOP! PENISES! PAY ATTENTION TO ME, I DEMAND YOU ENABLE MY SHITTY BEHAVIOUR! STOP IGNORING ME, I'M RELEVANT!"
Seriously, these people produce more works of fiction per month then the comic book companies they are pretending to be writing about.
Comic news sources much like gaming news sources are a septic tank full of shit, best avoided where possible.
God I miss Wizard magazine & Vision magazine. Anyone else remember Vision magazine?
