There Is Only One Issue Worth Voting on in 2016: Campaign Finance Reform. Everything else is irrelevant.

things that only benefit their own bank accounts and hurt the rest of the country.

In your opinion. What would you propose? We have some government agency review all policy positions, and if it damages 50.1% of the population, we prohibit anyone from lobbying for it? Don't you see how unworkable that would be?

I am not for limiting speech of the people, Im for leveling out the playing field and making all things equal.

How will you ever make things equal? Even if you prohibit all money from politics, guess who is better situated to walk around town all day espousing their views? Rich people. They don't have to work for a living.

You and I have nowhere near as much "speech power" aka $ as the Walton family. Do you think that is fair?

My concern isn't what's fair. My concern is not giving the government the power to tell people when they can or can't voice their opinions.

Are you ok with a oligarchy where rich do the bidding for the other 99% of the country?

I am when the 99% of the country has the power to vote in presidents and legislators, yes. Because if the 99% agreed they were getting screwed like you seem to think, guess what? 99% of the population would have one hell of an easy time electing officials to do their bidding. The fact of the matter is a lot of people disagree with you, and disagree with you that the policies you think are screwing over "the rest of the country" are actually bad policies. It's not 99% vs 1%. And a lot of people who do agree with you don't vote.

The majority of this population doesnt follow politics, let alone vote yet it affects everyone of them.

That's what you should try to change then. That's the mechanism we have to effect change. Giving the government the power to silence those you disagree with is not a wise move.
