These little ducklings and their protective mother made a home in the huge bush in our backyard!

Alright, Max, since you decided not to quit while you were (kind of) ahead, let's analyze this a little bit. You saying "my yard" can only imply that you're putting yourself in charge of the property you own; anyone (or anything, apparently) on your property can only be there with your permission. Understandable, it's your property. But if we think about this mother duck and her ducklings, let's try and see it from their point of view. You're assuming that these ducks are aware, in some capacity, that they're in your yard and that you just want to take a quick picture/video. Realistically speaking, this mother duck saw a giant predator (you) follow them into the bushes, where they thought they'd be safe, and rip the roof off of their home. Then you shoved a piece of technology (larger than each of her young) in their face. Just putting it in perspective.

Also, it's always good to keep in mind that your lawn is only there because that duck's ancestors had their property destroyed.
