These questions are underhandedly racist. Link to article and Facebook post in comments.

Fuck off oppressor. I know because I had two interviews with the same guy on the same day, pretending to be different people. My goal was to discover just how RACIST white employers could be.

First I submitted a resume` which the EXACT same qualifications, one under the name Emily Barbara-Harris and the other as Lafonda "Taco" Ngyeun. Surprisingly both of my alter egos got a call up (Although as I soon discovered it was only to mock and belittle a strong African/Mexican/Chino queen.)

As Emily I took the interview as myself. Wore a plan, white person dress, with some earingsa prototypical Julia Dreyfus haircut, and a complete cishet pair of Jimmy Chu high heels. (Ugh. So cis-normative it hurt.)

As Lafonda I tried to emulate the culture, history, and pride of our African/Spanish/Asian brethren. I had on some fake dread locks I got from party city, painted my skin black (it wasn't out of mockey, but respect for OUR people #OneRace) put a few pillows under my dress to enlarge my butt size, and wore a skin tight red dress with the image of a Mexican priest fighting a white Satan while a Chinese Jesus looked on from a distance.

These are LITERALLY the questions I was asked by the interviewer. See if you can spot the difference. It's subtle.

To Emily: Hey there, how are you? Ready to get started? To Lafonda: ....are you wearing black face?

To Emily: Where do you see yourself in 3 years? To Lafonda: What you're wearing is highly offensive. Also, I'm pretty sure you're that Emily girl I met earlier.

To Emily: Please give me an example of a time you used critical thinking. To Lafonda: What's wrong with you? There's black paint all over my desk. Is that even for your skin?

To Emily: What are you looking for at this job? To Lafonda: That's not real Spanish. You're just listing mexican foods.

To Emily: I see you've listed your last employer as "shitlord." Am I pronouncing that right? Can you explain? To Lafonda: Get off me, get...get off me!

To Emily: Security! To Lafonda: Security!

As you can see, the work world is highly bias towards people of color. So don't ASS-UME that art doesn't imitate life/white-people/go fuck yourself.
