Throwing 342 barrels of expensive tea into the ocean is the closest thing there was in 1776 to burning down a Target

The enitre point of dumping the tea was because of the inequity of taxes.

Taxes on documents, sugar, tea, etc.

Colonist felt they shouldn’t have to pay taxes they had no say in whatsoever. They had no local/colonial government. All decisions were made in British Parliament with the perspective/bias of non-colonists.

The monarchy was tyrannical and little did it aid in stimulating the colonists economy.

Destruction of products that had increased tax because of the Tea and Stamp Act(s).

The resulting events happened because of the little freedom people had. Today, people have a voice and it isn’t remotely related to what happened in the 18th century.
