TIFU by getting 100% on my chemistry test UPDATE

That's not what moot means.

subject to debate, dispute, or uncertainty, and typically not admitting of a final decision.

Eh maybe you're right, but again I have better things to do than argue grammar on the internet. Call the police, or insult my ability to practice law more, I used a word incorrectly.

Long after you had been combative and rude to me.

I think you need to go back and re read your first post. It had very little to do with anything I was saying and felt pretty rude to me.

Sorry if you got offended getting in the middle of something you had no business being in the middle of to begin with. someone's feeling a bit like a self-righteous cock today, aren't they? (Now that was a personal attack) The fact that grades vary from person to person

You quoted that incorrectly. Normally I wouldn't care but since you felt the need to point out my incorrect use of a word, I guess pointing out your incorrect use of formatting is fair game. Woo! What a great discussion.

Again, completely missing the point. Take a course on formal measurements or research methods, and maybe you'll learn what the fuck I'm talking about.

I'm sorry what point of yours am I missing that is at all relevant to what I said about parents not needing to be contacted or how being asked to retake the exam isn't a punishment?

I understand grades vary from person to person, and are not always the best measure of what someone has learned. I don't really know what you want me to say to that? What are grades designed to do? To reflect how much a student has learned in a course, to evaluate what a student has learned in the course. Is that what they do? No. Of course fucking not, anybody who's been to college knows grades barely mean anything. You can lie and cheat your way to any grade you want.

And nobody cares. Because grades mean nothing. Until something like this happens. And then, regardless of what grades actually mean, you need to take into account and defend what grades are supposed to mean, because if you don't the education system will continue to go to shit.

But you're too bust trying to be right and refuse to listen to anything I am actually saying.

No, you're not listening to me. I understand exactly what you're saying I just don't care because it is not relevant to my initial statement, and I am completely uninterested in debating you in something that is a matter of phonetics.

"What grades mean vs what they are" is not really something I care to argue or debate about, because anybody with half a fucking brain knows grades mean nothing, but it would be pretty awkward if the principal of a school acknowledged that and said fuck it they don't have to retake the test. Use some common fucking sense ya? Look at it from the teacher or the principals perspective. They're the ones forcing the student to retake the exam, because to them grades are how they determine how much a student learned the arterial in the class. Whether or not grades ACTUALLY mean anything is beside the point, because grades are how the school determines whether or not a student learned enough to pass a class.
