I once worked at a shitty newsagents with a shitty boss. She would regularly not pay me what I was owed even though I was earning less than legally supposed to anyway. I'd come in on payday and she might hand me a bag of loose change if I was lucky and just say "I didn't know you were coming in". Stuff like that. Proper C U Next Tuesday.
Anyway, long story short, one day I had enough of her, I text her that I was done, along with venting a few of my real feelings about how she treats her staff. Cue to the following week where I happened to be in a different country on holiday and she texts me telling me my hours and then proceeded to give out when I said I wasn't coming in.
Only stopped harassing me when I told her I was abroad and every text she sent me was probably costing a fortune. The last bit of small revenge letting her keep sending messages was a nice, however small, bit of revenge.
