TIL that the Church of Scientology is a corporation, and the actual "church" is just an arm of the corporation. They also have another arm called "Golden Era Productions" tasked with producing propaganda and conducting worldwide marketing campaigns for Scientology.

I certainly would not

According to the 1996 survey of nuns in the United States (which was intentionally never published by the [Ed.: Roman Catholic] Church but was leaked by some Vatican insider), it is reported that a minimum of 34,000 Catholic nuns (about 40% of all American nuns) claim to have been sexually abused. Three of every four of these nuns claimed they were sexually victimized by a priest, nun, or other religious person. Two out of five nuns who stated they were sexually abused claimed that their exploitation included some form of genital contact. All nuns who claimed repeated sexual exploitation reported that they were pressured by religious superiors for sexual favors.” – “Boston Globe” (1-8-2002) [Ed.: This quote is on p. 179 of the book, “Lucifer’s Lodge”, by William H. Kennedy.] Source

And

data showed that 6 percent of priests get sexually involved with minors. In 2004 a statistical study commissioned by the American bishops and utilizing documents from their files concluded that 6 ½ percent of priests during that period were reported for abusing minors. Currently 6,500 American clergy have been reported for abuse. The most reliable estimates of abusing Catholic clergy in the U.S. now run between 6 and 9 percent, with many dioceses recording 10 percent. The Los Angeles archdiocese had 11 ½ percent abusing priests in the active ranks of its clergy.

Btw all of this was known by the catholic church higher ups and purposely covered up, and the people who committed the act were moved to different locations where they committed further acts but never kicked out of the church or reprimanded in any way.

People act like Scientology is the only evil religion/cult out there while ignoring the facts about their own cult/religion.
