Tony Blair: 'We were wrong to boycott Hamas after its election win' -- Former prime minister says international community should have tried to pull militant Islamic faction ‘into a dialogue’ over its refusal to recognise Israel

Talking to people provides an opportunity to moderate them, to provide ways to resolve their issues, to negotiate ways of helping. Locking them out in the cold and vilifying them just guarantees that they will get more and more hard-line.

Dude. Seriously?

1994, A Hamas suicide bomber blows up a bus killing 22.1996, wo Hamas suicide bombers blow up two buses killing 45. 1997, two Hamas suicide bombers blow up a farmers market] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_Mahane_Yehuda_Market_bombings) killing 16.

2001, a Hamas suicide bomber blows himself up outside a dance club killing 21. 2002, a Hamas suicide bomber blows up the banquet area at a hotel killing 30.

The went on monthly for a decade. Imagine the equivalent of a "Las Vegas shooting" every month for a decade perpetrated by Hamas.

It was in 2006 Hamas was then ELECTED into power by the Palestinian people.. after a decade of suicide bombing civilians. That was the mistake.

There is a VALID reason Hamas is vilified.. just like there is a reason ISIS and Al-Qaeda are vilified.
