my bf and i don't live together, he has his kids 3-4 days a week and sometimes he's busy with them, and we both work, i don't "require" daily interaction and sometimes we can't have an actual conversation, but we do "check in" daily, like with a "good morning" text or a "how has your day been?" and if he doesn't fall asleep watching wrestling lol a goodnight text. THAT you can easily do even if you're extremely busy. Texts don't take much. You can send them when you poop, as you're lying in bed before you go to sleep, while waiting in line somewhere, before you get out of the car to go to work, right after your shift has ended and you're walking to your car, while you're cooking, while you're sorting laundry, etc etc etc.
