Yeah. I've been burned before by trusting my girlfriend, it's always "oh no they just want to be friends" when they're texting weird shit and too many emojis to her at all hours of the night. Then when I would decide "no just trust her you're being psycho, women can be friends with guys" I would always find out about a few weeks after they stop hanging that they either made a move and got rejected or she just "let it happen". I am so worn out from it, I can't trust any man (these are boys let's be real, no real man behaves this way to someone who's taken) to be alone with anyone I'm going out with. I don't trust anyone anymore. Happened to me on my 7th anniversary too with someone I used to consider a friend, but he's just an abusive piece of shit who was only nice to my girlfriend to get into her pants.
