Translating the tax relief promise into real action

Ah see.. my story wasn't meant to be a sob story, it was meant to be an indicator as to what life is like in a deployed theatre - from someone who was there once in thie case. Sure, Ukraine isn't the same, but at anytime those Russian divisions might mobilize, and that still isn't the point. You get your flight pay, you get your travel allowances, you get to travel the world - something that is the sterotype of what recruitment ads hope to be. My story was an example of what the regular folk go through in theatre, at least in regards to Afghanistan or maybe our spec ops boys in Iraq.

And bullshit, you do sound angry. I read all your posts before initially responding. IMO you sound upset because you don't want to pay taxes. Boo fucking hoo. It's an added bonus for those guys away from home for over half a year at a time, averaged over the few who develop sprained ankles that prevent them from continuing their 'duty'. Not to count the guys who spend months at a time on exercise in the US, away from their families with no hardship or anything, living in BATs (big ass tents) with a couple hundred other guys and nothing other than your regular ho dum pay.

It's the fucking military man. The issue at hand is for those deployed on long operations. Your job is to fly. From point A to point B? I dunno man, I wouldn't presume to understand. I would definitely believe that when it comes to pay and shitty life experiences, you have the better end of it for sure than the majority of the mud muckers. And good for you, bc you went to school, got a degree, went through the officer training, learned French (I'm assuming here), learned how to be a pilot on trainers, and finally learned to master your current aircraft (or multiple ones). That shit isn't easy, I don't think it is. You get paid for it though, better than the majority of the company you work for. Even with tax breaks, the guys you think have benefits that you're entitled to as well make a portion of what you do. That isn't to say we're jealous and wanting of your salary and flight pay and benefits of travelling the world and hotels... instead think of it as a simple 'give your head a shake', the miltary fucks us all, you're not special, and again - to the rest of us, you sound fucking greedy.
