True justice

I understand where you’re coming from when you say that, personally however I do still think there are other means maybe? I wasn’t beat so I cannot tell you from experience but we had something called the naughty step. And it just meant that we had to sit on the stairs until we calmed down and realised what we did was wrong. had that for about 6 years of my life or so and for me at least, it was effective. I don’t think a kid has to be beat for them to understand something is wrong. Teachers don’t beat children if they do something wrong nowadays right? We resolve the situation with putting them in an area like detention where they lose privileges etc to make them realise that they have to act responsibly in order to be able to do certain things that they enjoy. Again, i’m not saying that beating doesn’t work but I think it’s not necessarily the best solution? But it could also come down to how a kid behaves which can be a lot to do with how parents bring them up, like you said, making them entitled.
