Trump acquitted by Senate on articles of impeachment for abuse of power

I live in NZ and we have a similar situation, but it's fine because of MMP. Basically if no party wins the majority, then smaller parties will negotiate with the leading parties and "give" their votes to the party that aligns with them better.

So like last election most of the left vote was split between Labour (25%) and Green (10%), the right vote went to National (47%). A central/conservative party NZ First got 8% and they chose to form a coalition government with labour. (there are other parties but they all got around 1% so I'm just simplifying it)

There are some flaws with this system, like because NZ First decided the outcome they have a lot of power for 8% of the vote. But yeah definitely better than FPTP.
