Do you think Trump will be re-elected if he runs in 2020? Why or why not?

He's already running for 2020 - he filed the paperwork like a day after his inauguration.

I think he has a great chance of getting re-elected, but it all depends on who the Democrats ultimately nominate.

Trump will be in a stronger position than when he ran against Clinton - he'll be the incumbent with the big questions about his 'fitness for office' removed. Yes he's every bit as 'unpresidential' as people thought but on the other hand it hasn't really mattered and he's delivered on many of the promises he made to his supporters.

But Trump just barely beat the second most unpopular major party candidate in modern history - by default his 2020 Democrat challenger has to be stronger.

The wildcard in all of this of course is the Mueller report, but what's most likely from everything we know is that there will be no direct line to Trump for conspiracy or campaign finance violations and the only path to impeachment charges will be obstruction of justice.

And unless the Democrats win both the House and Senate, that's a subjective enough charge that Republicans won't run with it, meaning Trump won't be removed from office and will declare "victory" in the "witch hunt" as the 2020 race is getting underway.
