Rant about people looking down on young people getting married.

We actually do have a reason to be in rush. We live in different countries and without getting engaged and then married, it's rather impossible for us to overcome it. This is obviously not why we got engaged in the first place, but it makes a difference when it comes to whether we'll finally be able to be together forever soon, or in x years. We feel ready for the commitment and would be ready regardless of our relationship being long distance. If we weren't long distance, perhaps, we would only postpone it to collect some money and organize a small wedding party, which we are currently not planning. Or maybe we could even live without being officially married, whether for a while or forever, as it only changes some paperwork etc. Who knows what it would be like. But we do want to get married.
